I can’t lie, since I’ve started talking to Cross I kind of fell off my dating app game. I’d swipe here and there to see who’s out there but I wasn’t as engaged as I was initially BUT that’s all about to change.
Cross and I are in a really weird space right now. We’ve been going through some serious communication issues that has me questioning if I even want to be bothered with him anymore. Since I’m still trying to figure out the specifics, I’ve decided to wait until we figure out how we’ll be going forward before I try to explain wth is going on.
Since things are so up and down with Cross, I decided that it would be a good idea to refresh my dating profiles. Add some new pics, change up my age preferences, swap out my bio, you know, bring out new positive energy with hopes of attracting new positive energy. I got a new hairstyle a few weeks ago so I’ve got tons of new selfies to add to my profile. The only thing is switching up my bio.
Currently it reads:
“beauty obsessed journalist by day. trap music loving tequila connoisseur by night. just a regular girl here to make new friends and steal all of their favorite restaurants and bars.”
Instead a long flowery profile I wanted to keep it upbeat, light and fun. Include a few hobbies while showcasing a little personality. Now that I’m doing a little seasonal revamping, I want to keep the same kind of energy.
I wrote and scrapped tons of bios until I decided that Google could provide me with some inspiration. One quick search led me to the perfect bio. I made the necessary changes and came up with the following:
“90’s R&B. Late 90’s-Early 2000’s Romantic Comedies. Tequila. Tacos. If you like any of these things, then we’ll get along great. If you like all four, you just might be my Darius Lovehall. Either way, I’m a fun loving journalist looking to meet some nice people and steal all of their favorite bars and restaurants. If you’d like to get together sometime, swipe right, shoot me a message with your favorite Jodeci ad-lib and we can start from there.”
What do you guys think? I think it’s pretty detailed and fun. It showcases my interests, reveals what I’m looking for and offers a call to action. I’ll be sure to keep you all updated on how well my revamped bio goes over.
